sunshine0221's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doh! Can you say DOH? A few weeks ago my five-year-old inkjet printer started to fizzle. I am kind of blaming Teeny because he liked to play with it while it was printing. Anyway, printers are cheap, and I began to shop for a new one. I got an email from buy.com that they had a $129.00 Samsung laser printer with $80 in rebates AND free shipping. Woo! Laser printer for $50! Too good to pass up. So I ordered it. I also printed all of the rebate forms and receipts, etc, because the new me is way organized. Well, okay, the new me is planning to be organized as soon as I get around to it, but anyway, I was all set to get my $80 back as soon as my printer arrived. My shiny new laser printer arrived while I was in Atlanta, and the night I got home I got it all set up. I was disappointed that I didn't have a 100 page document that I needed printed lightning-fast, but I printed a few test pages, and wow, it was a million zillion times faster than an inkjet. Fast forward a few days when the Mom needs a box to send some videos to a friend in California. Sure you can have the printer box. I mean hey, what would I need it for, right? So off the box goes to California, its UPC codes carefully magic-markered out so it doesn't confuse the postal system. Last night I picked up my rebate forms and receipts in preparation of getting them filled out and sent in so that I will get my 80 bucks. I read the list of items required for the rebate. The first thing on the list is the UPC CODE FROM THE PRINTER BOX!!! GAH!!! So now the Mom is emailing her friend to send back the UPC code from the box, which I will include with my rebate form, and I will be hoping and praying that MAGIC MARKERING through the UPC doesn't void the whole shebang. Is this not the most adorable thing you have ever seen? Doggie Camp in Columbia! I wonder what all of the different programs are, and I really wonder how they got them to sit in the seats like that. 7:34 p.m. - July 22, 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
